Bring Your Own Key

Overview

Argus supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for LLM providers. This lets you use your own API keys for AI features, giving you full control over costs and model selection.

Supported Providers

• OpenAI — GPT-4, GPT-4 Turbo, GPT-3.5 Turbo
• Anthropic — Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Opus

Configuration

1. Navigate to Settings > LLM Configuration
2. Select your provider
3. Enter your API key
4. Choose your preferred model
5. Click Save

Security

• API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256
• Keys are never exposed in the UI after saving
• Each tenant's keys are isolated via row-level security
• You can rotate or delete keys at any time

When to Use BYOK

• Cost control — Use your existing API agreements and billing
• Model preference — Choose specific models for your workload
• Compliance — Meet data residency or provider requirements
