Escalation Policies

Configure automatic alert escalation.

Overview

Escalation policies ensure critical alerts get attention by automatically escalating to higher-level responders when alerts aren't acknowledged within a defined timeframe.

Creating a Policy

  1. Navigate to Settings > Escalation Policies
  2. Click Create Policy
  3. Define escalation levels:

Level Configuration

Each level specifies:

  • Responders — Team members or roles to notify
  • Channels — How to notify (Slack, email)
  • Timeout — Minutes before escalating to the next level

Assigning Policies to Services

Escalation policies can be assigned to specific services or applied globally. Service-level policies take precedence over global policies.

Availability

Escalation policies require Teams or Business plan.
