Alerting
Alerting
Overview of Argus alerting capabilities.
Argus provides a flexible alerting system that notifies you when things go wrong — and stays quiet when they don't.
Key Features
- Alert Rules — Define conditions that trigger alerts
- Notification Channels — Route alerts to Slack, email, or webhooks
- Suppression Windows — Silence alerts during maintenance
- Escalation Policies — Automatic escalation when alerts aren't acknowledged
How Alerting Works
- Define alert rules with conditions (e.g., "CPU > 90% for 5 minutes")
- Configure notification channels (Slack, email, webhooks)
- When a rule triggers, Argus sends notifications to configured channels
- Optional: AI automatically investigates triggered alerts
- Alerts resolve automatically when conditions return to normal
